Operates light motorized equipment and hand tools and performs related work on golf course. Performs all duties with a focus on exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers, attention to detail and sensitivity for confidential material.

Description:

  • Safely operates light motorized equipment such as mechanical sand rakes, weed eaters, backpack blowers, Flymo mowers, etc.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of sand bunkers.
  • Trims and edges bunkers, cart paths, around lake banks and curbing as needed.
  • Cleans and inspects machinery after each use.
  • Reports machinery/equipment problems to supervisor.
  • Loads and unloads materials.
  • Performs sod work, distributes pine straw, trims trees and removes cuttings.
  • Refills water coolers, collects and removes debris from course, empties litter cans.
  • Cleans gutters, drains and culverts.
  • Waters plants.
  • Cuts grass, weeds and bushes, rakes leaves.
  • Performs tasks in compliance with established departmental safety program for employees, members and guests on course.
  • Performs other maintenance duties as determined by the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
  • Informs supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or damage to golf course.
  • Assists in setting up golf course for play including cup cutting, moving tee markers, and other tasks determined by the Assistant Superintendent.


Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Some lawn maintenance/golf course experience preferred
  • This position pays $10.00 an hour - Full Time 40 hours a week
